"The success of the BC Open in 2005 was, in no small part, due to the use of two Tru Turf Rollers to smooth the putting surfaces. Severe flooding from the Susquehanna River in the fall and again in the spring, left a layer of silt on the greens that could not be removed without stripping the turf. Consequently, as summer temperatures reached the critical point, irrigation water was trapped just below the surface rendering the greens soft and mushy. Mower scalping was inevitable. However, by rolling in the evening and the morning before each round, the ball tracked beautifully. We use Tru Turf Rollers whenever we can to prepare tournament-smooth surfaces at PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour events",
