Ray Dufty and Dorothy Rix are Owner Directors of Tru-Turf Pty. Ltd.

Tru-Turf Pty Ltd (ABN 25 010 896 429), trading as Tru-Turf, was incorporated on Australia Day, 26th January 1989, and is a privately owned and operated Australian company. The world headquarters are located at 6/8 Technology Drive, Arundel, Queensland 4214 Australia on the Gold Coast; Australia's premier tourist destination with beaches, surfing, golfing and hinterland retreats located some 80 kilometres (50 miles) south of Brisbane.

The late Mr. Ronald Swynerton Kaye was the original inventor of turf rollers back in the early 1940's and, in the early 1970's, Ron invented the first sideways moving ride-on turf polisher/roller, convinc-ing the world that 62mm (21/2") diameter sets of rollers would be more effective and produce a truer surface than the 91.5cm 3' ft diameter rollers then being used. Ron, a world leader in turf rolling, was called upon to assist in repairing and truing the Lawn Bowls Greens at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, Canada in 1978.

After meeting one another in the late 1980's, Ray and Ron combined their wealth of experience and engineering expertise to produce a range of quality products specifically suited to the rolling of golf greens.

In 1990 Ray went on to develop the TR66 Triplex Smoothing Head & Slicer system for Triplex Riding Greens Mowers
Ray continued the development and refinement of the Tru-Turf Greens rollers to a level that has worldwide patents, support by leading golf courses and independent researchers and endorsement by the PGA as the "only roller of choice".
